I’ve been a professional artist for over 30 years working in oil paint. My passion is painting the mountains, deserts, and wetlands of the western United States.
While I was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, it was a road trip through the west during a college break that made me fall in love with the western US.
I finished college earning a Bachelor degree in Art from Marylhurst University in Oregon. However, it was my continued study of painting from master painters Scott Christensen, Jim Wilcox, and Kenn Backhaus that honed my skills in painting.
For 14 years I served as a full time faculty member at a community college in Oregon. My work is included in the collections of government, corporate and private collectors.
I now reside in Sedona, Arizona.
